The United Youth Leaders of Barbados is doing its part to end child hunger.

Word of this came yesterday morning from Chairman of the registered charity, Christa Soleyn during a press conference to launch the Barbados Youth Leadership Retreat, which comes off from December 27 to 30.

Soleyn said it was always her dream to get the participants of the annual Retreat to donate canned items to persons in need and as a means of following through with this, they are partnering with the Child Care Board, which has identified some disadvantaged families who are in need of assistance. In addition to working with the Child Care Board on this initiative, Soleyn indicated that insurance brokerage firm Gallagher Caribbean Group has come on board and is sponsoring the project.

Darian King 21 years old is currently Barbados’ highest ranked professional tennis player. He has been Barbados’ number one Senior Player since 2011. Mr. King is Barbados’ number one Davis cup player and made history by taking Barbados from Davis Cup Group 4 to Group 2.

August 11, 2014. Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. today announced that it has acquired certain assets of Minvielle & Chastanet Insurance Brokers located in the eastern Caribbean. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
