Ms. Jachris SibblisMs. Jachris Sibblis, sponsored by Gallagher Insurance Brokers, Barbados was crowned the winner of the 2014 Harrison College Pageant on April 6, 2014.

The pageant is produced annually by the Harrison College Key Club, and the money raised is given to HIV/AIDS Charities across Barbados, as well as helping disadvantage Key Club members.

nemo-donationKingstown, St. Vincent, January 17, 2014: Following the flooding that claimed the lives of nine people on mainland St. Vincent at Christmas, the St. Vincent office of Gallagher Insurance Brokers donated supplies of fresh water to NEMO (the National Emergency Management Office).

The heavy rain and landslides saw a number of houses, bridges and roads being washed away and, while the resulting damage is estimated to be several millions of dollars, there was an urgent requirement for mattresses, clothing and other necessities following the flooding.

The TVET Employers Recognition Awards 2013 was aimed at small, medium-sized and large organizations in the agriculture, manufacturing, tourism/hospitality, personal care/services, retail and financial services sectors.

Sarah Misir, Jamaican National Equestrian TeamSara Misir, a fifteen-year-old member of the Jamaican National Equestrian Team started riding when she was 4 years old.

She has spent 11 years training locally with Coach Susan Wates as well as attending special clinics in Colombia and Italy. At 15 years old, she is Jamaica's top female competitor competing in jumping and dressage. Apart from local competitions, Ms. Misir has competed in Guatemala, Chile, Ecuador, Cayman, Barbados, Colombia and Trinidad, always placing in the top 10. In September 2012, this budding equestrienne star was invited to represent Jamaica in the Club Campestre Guaymaral International-Colombia, Bogota, against 38 countries and again in February she competed at the Convocatoria Guatemala International tournament, competing in the adult class jumping at 1.25m against entrants from South America, the Caribbean and Europe.
