1. Arranging your marriage licence

Make sure you have the correct documents to apply for your marriage licence. An application must be made in person by both parties at the Ministry of Home Affairs.

With hurricane season approaching it’s important to be prepared ahead of the storm.

During this difficult time of year we’ve put together a helpful checklist below to help you stay safe during the bad weather.

Protect your windows from the threat of flying debris, by installing shutters.
Ensure that your roof and foundation are secure.
Check for termite damage.
Trim tree branches.
Persons living in low-lying areas should move household items to higher levels and prepare to evacuate when the water begins to rise.
Turn off all electrical appliances and raise all electrical or valuable items off the floor.
Remove TV antennas from the roof.
Have emergency cash available.
Store important documents in watertight containers
Have an up-to-date insurance policy.
Review and update your family disaster plan - Always have a plan for your home as well as your office

Secure emergency supplies (water, batteries, flash lights, medical supplies, etc.) and keep an up-to-date list of emergency resources.
Have enough water stored in sealed plastic containers to allow for cooking, bathing, washing and other domestic chores for two weeks.
Have a portable first-aid kit.
Keep on hand lumber, a hammer, torchlight, masking tape, medicine, boots, rubber gloves, raincoat, nails, rope, wires, plastic sheeting, and sandbags.
Have canned foods and dried goods and a portable transistor radio. Stock up on emergency supplies with this helpful list.
Fill vehicles with gas or diesel

Our Commitment

At Gallagher Insurance Brokers we value your feedback as we seek to provide you with professional, efficient and high quality service. Any complaints we receive are handled fairly, consistently and promptly with the assurance that appropriate redress will be made.

Occasionally things can go wrong and we may receive a complaint. If we have made a mistake we will diligently investigate and rectify the matter where possible. We want to ensure that all complaints are properly handled in the best interest of our clients and that they are provided with the highest level of customer service that is expected.

Complaints may be received at any time during the insurance process and we accept complaints by any means, e.g. letter, facsimile, e-mail, telephone or in person by speaking to any of our staff.

Our Responsibility

We promise a prompt response and will acknowledge the complaint in writing immediately and undertake initial review of the complaint. We may contact you for additional information if necessary.

You will receive a first follow-up response to your complaint within five (5) business days after our investigations. Our investigation of the complaint will be done competently, diligently, impartially and within the time limits stipulated by our policy and the Regulators. Appropriate actions will be taken to resolve any complaint to your satisfaction.

We empower our staff to resolve complaints immediately. If it cannot be resolved immediately, your Complaint will be assigned to a Complaint Handler who will be your point of contact up to the successful outcome of the complaint.

We will notify you of our findings and any actions we may have taken, or will be taking, to satisfy your complaint.

All complaints will be kept on file for a minimum of three (3) years or as long as the complaint is receiving the attention of the regulatory authority or is being litigated.

Competence

At Gallagher Insurance Brokers, all staff are required to undertake awareness training on Complaints Handling including how to identify and report complaints. You have our commitment that every reasonable effort will be made to reach a solution to ensure total customer satisfaction.

What happens if you are dissatisfied with our final response?

In the event that you are dissatisfied with the handling and resolution of your complaint, you have the right to refer your complaints to your local Insurance Regulator for independent review.

In particular, we have developed tools for analyzing motor lines which have demonstrated ability to improve underwriting return. As part of our ERM solutions we support the execution of Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA) and other data processing and analysis projects for clients across the region.
Design and Optimization of Risk Transfer: Risk transfer solutions developed using our risk and DFA model outputs can be implemented through retail insurance, reinsurance, captives and other ART mechanisms for a variety of insurance lines. We specialize particularly in maximizing the benefits of risk pooling and in parametric insurance solutions, including index agricultural insurance.
Disaster Preparedness and Business Continuity Planning: With a long history of research and operations in the natural hazards management discipline throughout the Caribbean, CaribRM can lend considerable support to disaster preparedness and business continuity planning as well as risk management consultancy in this regard. A client specific loss model which accounts for this planning enables underwriters to see quantitative demonstration of risk reduction, and also leads to lowering of actual losses where risk is retained (e.g. in a captive risk transfer solution).
